After seeing destruction for awhile, it feels pretty good to see some construction happening here. The workers put together some sort of wooden mold for concrete foundation.

It's like empty, boring, gloomy, sketchy ..all that good old feeling you have when you enter that sort of places. Except that first photo right there. That could be pretty decent party there.

Week 3

Still digging. Did I mentioned "war zone"? My Brazilian pepper corn tree is now cut to stump. Pretty messy there. I can't even walk in to the yard at this moment.

How many pugs does Valentino have? A question one must find out!

I watched the movie Valentino - The Last emperor. Oh my god I almost cried...the clothes, the runway shows, the designs. I've always been a fan of his design, because it's so classic and feminine. It's the type of clothes you can wear forever. I have even more respect and love for his clothes now that I see the process and the attention he put in to all the details. But one thing I notice on the movie... How many pugs does he actually have? I always see him traveling with a pack of pugs. I wasn't able to tell from the movie how many are they.

According to wiki,Valentino adores dogs to the point that he once named a second line of clothing after his late pug Oliver. Today Valentino owns six pugs: the mother, Molly; her sons, Milton and Monty; and her daughters, Margot, Maude and Maggie. When traveling on his 14-seat Challenger jet, three cars are needed to move Valentino and his entourage to the airport: one to move Valentino and Giammetti, another for the luggage and the staff, and a third to transport five of six Valentino's pugs as one of them, Maude, always travels with Valentino

Week 2

The digging continues. So much dirt has been dug up. Old pipes that running to my laundry in the garage are being replaced. Some holes were made for placement of foundations footers. I begged them to cover my exposed wood  because I don't want anymore damage on the wood(or my wallet!).

Week 1
Here is how my house looks. It goes from oh my house is dusty to OMG! so quick. But It's coming along.

Jose is marking the area where going to be my new bedroom. 

The area has been dug out nicely. I'm quite impressed how straight the lines are. 

Look what we found

After some serious ripping and tearing, we found out that inside those beautiful sidings has serious termite damage! Aaarrrrggggh!!

Friday!

It's friday again!

My renovation finally started!

After a long year of waiting, dealing with sick contractor and re-designing the whole thing over again and again. We finally get to tell our friends and family "it's started!".

Day1 of construction. Big fine moment of demolition. The workers came in and started ripping apart my beautiful wood sidings. This almost gave me heart attack.

Friday!

It just hits me that today is Friday. All my days are just blurred together like strawberry cream swirls. Look at those creepy sleep walking bunch. Lets stay up and don't go to bed!

Jen Stark, amazing hand cut paper sculptures

The first of its kind, Jen Stark's colorful paper arts, a hybrid between craft+sculpture. That's how fine arts are these days. What impressed me the most is that these are all done by hand! That's totally amped up the wow effect. Pretty amazing!

DIY Suitcase Pet Beds

Look what happened when you just take an old dumpy suitcase, (yeah the type you always see at a thrift store) stuff a pillow in there. Than you get a cool pet bed! So easy!!
