Out of this world

What an amazing place.

This exceptional geyser landscape in Nevada appears to be of extraterrestrial origin. The geyser discharges boiling water out of three vents heated by an active magma chamber in shallow depth below this area. The geyser is located in the middle of a dried-up lake that covered 22.000 km² at the end of the last ice age. Volcanic basalt lava builds up the bedrock below the sediments of the former lake. These lava eruptions occurred during the ice age. The appearance of this landscape often changed during the last 10.000 years. Probably its most unusual and beautiful today.

White...

I'm feeling W H I T E right now. I miss making all white storyboard. I haven't done anything like that since 2005. I feel like it got a little too trendy in the past a couple years. Looking at these photos just reminds me that it's still winter. It's just getting warmer here in LA. I really need to go out and get some sun. But work has been crazy busy in the last couple weeks. Everyone is planning a design for Spring/Summer. It's funny that all I see these days are just all Summer time imageries, while I'm sitting in a stark cold studio trying to come up with a "hot" design.
