Primal Scream - Higher than the Sun
Back in the days, Primal Scream was still doing clean nice indi rock. But when they took estacy and experimented with music. The result was this song that was, at the time, very different from everything else they were doing. The combination of rock and electronic had made this a fresh new sound. Perhaps more like their later albums.

The Farm - Love See No Colour
When I just got accepted in to a very a prestige art school, I was only 16 year old. I was a lot younger than most people that had spent years trying to get in to that school. I was quite nervous and didn't know what to do, how to act around older people. I didn't really want people to find out how young I was. All I wanted was to fit in. One of silly things I was trying to do was when my friend gave me a vintage indi band t-shirt. I thought it was probably what "a cool" person would wear. I was wearing that shirt to school and thinking that it can disguise me from being too young. I was pretty much clueless, didn't know what that band was. Until my brother saw the t-shirt. He recognized it and said "oh it's The Farm!". He gave me a cassette and told me to listen to it. And this was one of my favorite songs at the time.
The band looks quite goofy in that video huh? LOL~

The Jesus And Mary Chain - Just Like Honey
This song came out around mid 1980s, marked the very beginning of indi rock. One of a very good song from the era. I remembered hearing this song from a radio show back in Thailand and immediately felt in love with it.

Manic Street Preachers
I have gone through a phase in my teenage years when I was absolutely OBSESSED for The Manic Street Preachers. I mean OBSESSED in capital letters, obsessed with exclamation mark, obsessed obsessed obsessed period. I thought James Bradfield is a lyric genius. 20 years later, their music and their message are still relevant. How do they do it?

Les Maîtres du Temp (Time Masters) 1981
Les Maîtres du Temp, one of the less popular works by René Laloux. Who also did the very awesome, Fantastic Planet (La Planète Sauvage, 1973).
Here's the movie. Enjoy!
Great music, great design. Master piece!

Wagon Christ Chunkothy Promo (official music video)
Very cute animated kaleidoscope of almost abstract things (that the artist claimed to be "insects and fishes"). I think I see a few mosquitos and mushrooms in there. What do you see?

Saint Etienne - Avenue
Classic Saint Etienne track from 1992. So good...
I thought Sarah Cracknell has a voice of an angle. The combination of old scratchy record noise and her voice, together it's magical.
