Marc Johns' illustrations
I came across these quirky illustration by Marc Johns on Flickr and I just couldn't help it. They are so funny and cute. I enjoy them so much, I probably went through the whole library and looked through everything. They are simple medium, just ink and watercolor. The writings and the character design are genius. There are some great illustrations with nice details and typography there, but I didn't think they are as funny as simpler ones.

My need to design a decent place to sit in my new kitchen turns in to one big obsession over breakfast nooks. As I have posted about these pretty breakfast nooks before. Here I am again...These are all so great, but would this work in my space?

Beer bottle temple
They take reincarnation seriously at Wat Pra Maha Chedi Kaew(litery means temple of glass). Used beer bottles had been giving a new life over here in Thailand's Sisaket province, about 600 km (370 miles) northeast of Bangkok.
The monks began collecting the bottles 20 years ago with help from local authorities. People had sent them over millions bottles of Heineken and Chang(Thai beer). They now have built 20 buildings include temple, crematorium, prayer rooms, a hall, water tower, tourist bathrooms and several small bungalows.

Silhouette wedding cake toppers
I'm so not a fan of traditional wedding cake toppers. I think they are just unpleasantly tacky. Most of the time they look like sculptures from elementary school art class. But these!!! they are just awesome. They are romantic, designed, and nice enough to be put on top of a cake.

Wagon Christ Chunkothy Promo (official music video)
Very cute animated kaleidoscope of almost abstract things (that the artist claimed to be "insects and fishes"). I think I see a few mosquitos and mushrooms in there. What do you see?
