Graphic design icon Massimo Vignelli died at 83

Massimo Vignelli, a graphic designer who was well regarded by his most notably design of NY subway map has died today at the age of 83. It's a sad day for all graphic nerds. His work is truly a finest example of modern classical era in graphic design.

Massimo Vignelli, a graphic designer who is well respected by his most notably design of NY subway map has died today at the age of 83. It's a sad day for all graphic nerds. His work is truly a finest example of modern classical era in graphic design.
“Massimo, probably more than anyone else, gets the credit for introducing a European Modernist point of view to American graphic design,” Michael Bierut, a partner at Pentagram, a leading graphic design firm, said.
