Things Come Apart, A Teardown Manual for Modern Living

Here is something cool for my 6 year old nephew. A book called Things Come Apart, Canadian photographer Todd McLellan painstakingly disassembles 50 everyday objects, including a tiny Swiss Army knife and a single engine aircraft, and carefully photographs the results. Essays by noted DIY repair gurus like Kyle Wiens provide context for the pictures, but the main attraction is getting to see the 21,959 components that make up the most iconic products of the last 100 years.

FERRARI 625 TRC

The 1957 Ferrari 625 TRC’s design is without a fault, a timeless and downright breath-taking execution of Italian motoring passion. Only two of these where made.

Technological Mandalas

Today I'm loving....
Technological Mandala, the work by Leonardo Ulian. A complex symetry pattern made from electronic components and microchips. It shows contrast between hard cold tech objects in a warm spiritual Hinduism symbol. I personally think it looks like beautiful lace.
