Flags by Colours

Flags by Colours, a work by Shahee Ilyas. A computer generated piece done by using a list of countries from The World Factbook database, flags of countries fetched from Wikipedia are analysed by a custom made python script to calculate the proportions of colours on each of them. That is then translated on to a piechart using another python script. The proportions of colours on all unique flags are used to finally generate a piechart of proportions of colours for all the flags combined.

How to Turn an Unused Fireplace Into Art

I found these photos really interesting. Because I have a faux fireplace at home. It's so ugly. I can't begin to describe...And it just bugs me that I have no use for it. I think I'm going to mirror it.

Gold Stump Table | What I want now!

Talking about 3 words that don't belong in one sentence. Gold Stump Table is absolutely fabulous in my opinion. I love the combination of organic wood texture with wonderful polished gold. I need to find a place for this.
